Hey there everyone, hope you are all having a fabulouus week so far. I have to say you are going to LOVE today’s projects with Julie. Here is what Julie had to say about her super fun projects using Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe!

Hello my dear blogging friends! Today I am sharing a design team project for The Scrapbooking Studio, using Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Cling 3 stamps.

This sweet “wind-up lady” was framed onto a manila tag blended with distress inks. The frame was cut from Bazaar of Wonders. A chipboard bee from Die-cuts 1 was added, along with a metal clothespin. The clothespins are really cool! Last but not least, some Tim Holtz metal foliage and Chitchat stickers added the finishing touches.

Next up, This little beauty was made from the corset and butterfly of the same stamp set. This time, archival inks and distress inks were used on gloss paper, then mounted on a black tag. Wild Plum Adirondack Alcohol Ink was used to color the tulle at the top of the tag and Adirondack acrylic paint dabber in Pool was used on the Tim Holtz Philosophy Tag. A pearl bauble and the philosophy tag were attached to a trinket pin with jump rings, all from TH.

Another Graphic 45 project for The Scrapbooking Studio design team. One of the products in my kit this month was the G45 metal film cannister…hmmm, I thought, “how could I make it different?” Well, it’s different alright! Is an old fashioned squeeze box different enough for you?

Here are a few of the details: the edges of the cannister were wrapped with ribbon using wonder tape, the “straps” were salvaged from an old purse and attached with pop rivets (thanks again to Jeff & Cathy at Scrapbook Dreams for attaching the straps and for the fabulous acrylic stands!), the tabs inside and circle shapes on the outsides were cut with Plantin Schoolbook and Gypsy Wanderings carts on the Cricut Expression. All the papers were inked with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. The squeeze box portion was adhered with X-press It double sided tape. It worked great and held the project together really well.

G45 Papers used for this project are from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe line: Parlor Wall, Butterfly Specifics, Genuine Article, Bazaar of Wonders, Counting Down and Race for Time. Also used were Chipboard Die Cuts 1 & 2 and Cardstock Stickers.

The inside photo mats:

The papers are so unique and beautiful! The first layout was a photo of my great grandmother as a young woman. I liked how the Exquisite Motif paper enhanced the vintage photo.

The 2-piece frame, top border treatment and blue background were cut on the Cricut using Fancy Frames and Elegant Edges carts.

The Mercurial Masterpeice paper from Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe was the starting point for this layout, as another design team project for The Scrapbooking Studio.

I love how the paper was printed so that a frame could be fashioned from it, so that is what I did! Some of the outside edges and ALOT of the inside graphic were cut away and backed with the reverse side (dots) of the paper. Some Prima pearls were layered onto the corners, two of which were fussy-cut and dimensionalized with foam tape. The corner treatments on the photo frame were made from 3/4″ and 1″ circle punches, topped with Jenni Bowlin pearl flowers. The striped paper for the frame is called Optical Oddities; the inside edges were folded under to give the frame a finished look. Quick Quotes Midnight Confession and Antique Linen Distress Inks were used for this project.

The title was made from black Bazzill cardstock, using the matching cardstock stickers from the paper line. The journaling block is from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Tags 2. They are a nice, thick chipboard and add good texture to the layout. An EK Success slim layered flower punch was used to make the four-layer flower, which was embossed with a stylus for some added dimension and place upon a black scallop circle. Detail photos are below…

Blake, our newest addition, is ALWAYS looking for trouble! You would think we would learn to put our shoes away after loosing 4 different pairs in one week (some of mine included). We think Blake might be a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. He joined our family in March. The action packed line of papers from Simple Stories was the perfect match for this pooch’s personality! The Awesome Me line from Simple Stories is a great “guy” line for boys who are a little older, great for young teen cards too!
Next, Erin created a two page layout using Little Yellow Bicycle’s Saturdays collection. I love the colors of this line. And as always, LYB has great embellishments!

Hello everyone, hope you all are enjoying the fabulous deals and specials the store has going on this week. Today I wanted to share a couple of creations with new design team member Missi. Missi created with My Minds Eye Be Happy line. Up first is a cute little card she created, love how she cut out the shapes and popped them up to give the card a little dimension.

Love this next creation, I think this would make a fun project to do with your kids or grandkids some weekend.

Up next we have a couple of layouts using the Be Happy line from My Minds Eye. The colors in this line are so pretty and so many fun elements that you can use in so many different ways.
