Spring Fling

Hi everyone! It definitely looks like we’ve gotten a second spring out there! Although the temps resemble something more close to summer! However, it’s better than snow! :)

Today I am sharing a two page layout I did using Teresa Collins’  Spring Fling collection.  I really am loving the colors of this line! The butterflies are adorable!

U R Gonna Flip for Sizzix {Flip-its Cards}

Hello crafters, Shelly Maxwell here with a peak at some great products: Making these cards was easy and fun with the Sizzix Card die “Diamond Flip Its” designed by Stephanie Barnard and available at The Scrapbooking Studio in Moline, IL

I used Simple Stories line Awesome Me to create the Congrats card perfect for any young man. I fussy cut several of the journaling cards to use as the die cut images on the card, and concentric circle punches for the circle embellishments. Doodlebug “Congrats” sticker helps me send the perfect greeting.

Here’s what the Sizzix die looks like:

It fits in the Vagabond and Big shot among other machines.

Here’s another card I created using the Sizzix Diamond Flip-its die. The Happy Birthday card below uses Simple Stories Fab{U}lous line of papers, Prima flowers, Spellbinder dies and Doodlebug stickers for the greeting.

Here’s what it looks like fully extendend….

My final card I would like to share with you today also uses Simple Stories papers, but it also uses Hero Arts stamp and die cut set! If you haven’t gotten a chance to use these collections yet you must put it on your card making “To do” list!

First adhere the high quality Hero Arts cling rubber stamps to an acrylic handle and then stamp the images, color the images with Copic markers and die cut the images using the Sizzix Framelits metal cutting dies included in the set. The Framelits work in the Big Shot, Cuttlebug, and Vagabond machines plus more.

Again, I used the Doodle bug “Thank You” stickers for the greeting. I used EK Success’s corner punch for the photo corners on this card.

Featured Dies/Stamps: Sizzix Hero Arts stamp & die Floral set

Check all these great products at: The Scrapbooking Studio, 1623 5th Avenue in  Moline, IL. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.

Be Happy with Elaine McManus

Hello!   It’s another week to share some awesome projects from our design team!  Today’s creations were made by Elaine McManus using My Mind’s Eye’s Be Happy  line.

I absolutely LOVE the hexagons! They are very “in” right now!  Elaine even used one of the hexagons for her journaling.

Another one page layout using the  Be Happy line. I often don’t think about doing an 8 1/2 x 11 sized layout! Love how Elaine thinks out of the box!

Here is a close up of a line of buttons Elaine used to set apart her sub-title and journaling!

Next, Elaine created this ADORABLE cupcake using the patterned paper, baker’s twine, and brads!  So cute!!  Elaine has posted directions on how she created her cupcake on her blog!

Elaine also created two beautiful cards using Teresa Collins’  Everyday Moments line!  Love the colors!

I love how Elaine cut out two of the birds from the patterned paper and used pop dots to create a cool effect!

Remember you can find all of this and LOTS more at both of our Moline and Bloomington stores!

Until next week, thanks for reading! -Jen

Inky Fun with Stacy

Hello everyone, Stacy here today.  I wanted to share a couple of projects I have created using lots of fun goodies.  I’m talking distress stains, inks, and some Dylusions, and of course some Wendy Vecchi Art Parts.

Now after creating with these products, I have to say that i’m totally hooked on altering and changing the color of my hands!!  I created this home decor piece using some Wendy Vecchi art parts.  At first I just sat and stared thinking to myself what am I going to do with this head???  I simply started grabbing inks, stains, stamps of just went to town.  I added an Idea-ology clock,  and stained some seambing for the bow and it was done.

Here is another project also created using Wendy’s Art Parts. On this one I added some crackle paint to part of it. Of course I love the gears and had to add some of the new gears from Idea-ology also.

Now onto a couple of fun tags. The first tag I created this fun flower using the Tatered Florals dies from Sizzix, stains & ink from Ranger. Again I used seam binding for the ribbon at the top of the tag. This is a fabulous way to not let any of your stain go to waste!!

Now for the last tag….i’m totally in love with the Dylusions Ink Spray from Ranger. The colors are simply fabulous. I created this one using about 4 different colors, some fun stamp sets from Dylusions and Wendy Vecchi. The bright white on the tag was created using a white gel pen. I tied a little Maya Road ribbon at the top of the tag, and then added a muse token to it after altering the color of the token with Ranger Acrylic paint.

Well thats all the inky fun I have to share with you today. Hope you have a fabulous day.

~Stacy
